US TV Producer Gunned Down In Row Over Land Ownership

This Mexican TV producer – who worked with US TV – has been gunned down during a dispute over land ownership.

The incident took place in a land located in the area known as Picacho-Ajusco and La Marina, in the colony Lomas de Tepemecatl, in the borough of Tlalpan, in Mexico City.

The dispute took place when Andres Arreola went to a plot of land along with activists from the Heroes de 1910 group. It was not revealed if he was there in a private capacity or whether he was working on a programme.

The activists are campaigning against the commercialisation of land usage for big business in favour instead of greener alternatives, and claim that they are the rightful owners of the plot, however, on paper, the land is owned by another person, whose name has not been reported.
